Who We Are

World Class Sound_Hawaii was founded by me... Richard Xavior. A multi-instrumentalist and studio musician myself, with a degree in engineering. Having worked and recorded in a good variety of studios across the USA, I knew what it was I liked and didn't like about the recording process. Using that knowledge I set out to create an affordable recording studio, with "state of the art equipment", where musicians and songwriters could come, be creative and not feel intimidated by a cold clinical atmosphere but at the same time maintain a high level of "professional ambiance".

Where they could feel like their "project" was  just as important as a session that might be happening later that night or a session in room "A".

I searched many many locations for over a year. Some... in out of the way industrial parks (too clinical and cold) some storefronts (rent was way too expensive to keep recording costs down to the consumer) and finally I decided to purchase a free-standing house with the intent to renovate the entire home into a Recording Studio.

All the walls were taken down to the 2x4's and sound proofing added before installing double drywall. Then each room was acoustically "Tuned" using an RTA and treated with Auralex acoustic treatments and traps as appropriate. Finally the "State of the Art" recording equipment was installed.

The end result is a cozy and comfortable Recording Studio with a laid back atmosphere. There is a "Control Room" , a "Live Room", an Islolation Room" , "Room A", "Room B"  a "lounge"a "kitchen" and a "rest room". There is also an outside Lanai to just kick back and enjoy the Trade Winds.
